We are One Leicester - 2010 Event
  

Thank you to everyone for supporting the peaceful events that took place over the weekend

(Friday 8th & Sunday 10th October 2010)

People from all cultures, faiths and backgrounds came together to show support for Leicester, which really summed us up as a city. Thank you!

The weekend's events included peace vigils and entertainment as part of the We Are One Leicester Festival

A fantastic afternoon of music, dancing, arts and singing was held to celebrate diversity in Leicester. There was a tremendous turn-out for the performance by Billy Bragg and accompanying stage programme, which included Egyptian Dance, Bali Rai, De Montfort University Gospel Choir, Red Leicester Choir and more! Plus, Reverend and The Makers completed the evening with an intimate perfomance at Fabrika - Independent Arts Centre - for 200 people.

Hundreds of people also came along to sign the Community Cohesion Charter ‘We Are One Leicester’ to show support for our city.
