Current activity
Developing the new Adults high-level JSNA. Work is currently underway on this. This will provide up-to-date information on the high level needs of the city. Public Health and City Council analysts are working on this jointly. Early drafts of sections will be published on the JSNA web pages. Please contact Sandie Nicholson for notification of the publication of these drafts.
Needs assessment on Dementia in the city is nearing completion. A brief for this needs assessment has been agreed and a project plan has been developed.
Needs assessment on Drugs and Alcohol issues in the city is underway. A draft brief for this needs assessment is available. It is subject to change.
Establishing a web presence within the City Council site to provide simple updates on the JSNA programme. Existing needs assessment have and will continue to be placed on the site to give greater availability. As completed, new JSNA products are made available by the website and regularly reviewed (that is, with a review date and a named lead) and if necessary, updated. Longer term development of web based access will be considered in the light of demonstrable need and the availability of resources. A city council web presence does not preclude placing JSNA products on other web portals.
Drawing up a broad plan and timescale to fit the JSNA programme into the requirements of the Health and Wellbeing Board. This includes seeking views on the refreshed high level JSNA in advance of preparing the new Health and Wellbeing Board’s first Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and using this to inform the Joint Strategic Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
Defining the further programme will occur in the coming months.
